<\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\nBij nader inzien,\u00a0Accents from the Cleveringa Collection<\/i> showcases the work of three very different artists who work in diverse disciplines but make art in a\u00a0 similarly bold and consistently radical way: Leo Vroegindeweij (b. 1955), Rob van Koningsbruggen (b. 1948) and Carel Balth (b. 1939). <\/span><\/p>\nAll three artists\u2019 work was collected by the Hague collectorPiet Cleveringa (1917\u20132013), who amassed an impressive trove of postwar Dutch art starting in the 1980s and then generously donated it to various museums.\u00a0Between 1980 and 1985, in his gallery De Kijkschuur in the village of Acquoy, Cleveringa\u00a0staged a series of exhibitions he called \u201cAccents\u201d.
